Updates, Updates and Well, More Updates

This week is a big week for all of you gamers who enjoy updates! Lots of game updates as well as the next firmware for Playstation 3. See the list below for all of the games that have been updated/ getting updated.

Resistance 2 - Insomniac Games is patching up its game tomorrow with version 1.60. Most of the update is minor fixes although there is a couple of decent ones, the biggest being launching the game through Playstation Home although you will have to wait for Home to be patched up to allow this. You can  also now earn the 'Field Medic' ribbon by healing you partner while in split screen multiplayer. Another large part to the update is that XP and Grey Tech that has been earned offline will keep when you now go online, that pretty much concludes the major updates. See here for the full list.

LittleBigPlanet is getting a 1.13 patch but there is not information on it yet, keep a watch out for it later.

Playstation 3 - OK, go and update your systems now cause its live! but it doesn't actually do much  “this is a minor update that improves the playback quality of some PS3 format software” and we've heard all this before for previous updates, maybe  Sony will release the next firmware with the Cross Game chat, but sorry its not in this one.

PAIN - OK, I don't have official information on what was actually updated in this patch although it was released yesterday and the main thing that I could see different was the style of the menu's which had changed from vertical to horizontal when your selecting what level to play, that is really all that I could see different but if you know anything on this patch please do tell us!

inFamous Good 'n' Bad

inFamous today comes with more news, but unfortunately its not all good.

Firstly the good news. Sony has posted 2 videos of Q&A for all you inFamous fans to gorge on and get up-to-date on things. Click on the continue link to see the two Q&A videos at the end of the post.

Secondly the not-so-good news. For those of you who wanted inFamous to last a good couple of days worth of playing, well this may put you off it. Sucker Punch Boss Chris Zimmerman says that you can completely finish the game (100%) in around 25 hours but if you just want to go though the main missions (skipping side missions and collectable) you could finish in around 15 hours. The game most likely will last much longer though as you would likely want to be free roaming about the city too and not just firing through the missions at light speed. Although this is quite short it does last around six times longer than WANTED: Weapons of Fate which most players claimed finished in around 4 hours.
