Earlier, Dead Space 2 was confirmed via EA's Technical Director/Engineering Manager Pratik Patel's LinkedIn page. Judging from what he's wrote it's already being created as he's posted his role in the game which is technical/development director. Although the game is still unannounced, this pretty much sums up that there is a sequel being created.
